While working toward a degree in Political Science at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, he also played football. He graduated in 1979 and married April Anderson from Birmingham, Alabama in 1981. He is the proud father of three kids and an avid fan of their activities: Two have graduated from Florida State University and one is in her junior year at FSU, while also working at Craig Commercial Realty as a Realtor associate. His son has opened a Real Estate Investment office in Atlanta, while specializing in shopping centers. Returning to North Florida in 1980 he began a career in commercial real estate which has spanned over three decades. After 10 successful years with the Commercial Division of Investors Realty during which he was named the company's Top Producer for five consecutive years, he founded his own company, Craig Commercial Realty, in 1990. He has consistently been recognized as a Multi-million dollar producer for the Tallahassee Board of REALTORS.
